guys- just wanted to give you a little update as to whats going on with angels
and airwaves.
Things are starting to go light speed here in Angels land..... Rehearsals are
happening every night to get ready for a few weeks of special shows in Europe
and in the states as well... I have met with multiple magazines as well as Fuse
and MTV, and they all agree that the record is everything it is hyped up to be,
but more...which is good, so I can stop my big, over-excited mouth, and I can
let others do the talking. The short film is out, although it seems to be over
some peoples head, the vast majority of you got it, and loved the story....the
creation of perfect love with perfect life, the making, and story of Angels and
Airwaves. The video for the adventure is going to be shot in the next couple
weeks, and oh my God, just wait and see ...I finally had some friends and family
come to see the band play, every body’s arms were covered with chills, and I
felt like I was on another planet...I can not wait to let you guys in on this....this
is the beginning of a movement, not a band...not a scene, but a way of life-

hello there everyone. its been a while
since ive said hello so i thought i would just say hello, and for those
of you who have been emailing about the adventure video, we are so
stoked that you like it (for the small amount of you that werent into it,
keep watching it, hopefully youll like it over time) im sure its not
what many of you expected but try to think outside the box. our website
is up and running now and we are adding stuff to it by the day so be
sure to check it out. a lot more shows that we keep comfirming will be
posted up as soon as we can announce them so stay tuned. back to angels world, yesterday we did a photo shoot for the album and i cant wait to see how the photos turned out. im sure you all will be seeing some photos as well as soon as we get them back. other than that we continue to practice nightly and get ready for our record to come out and get back on the road and tour. thanks for the support and the concern. your truely the best fans in the world and i cant wait for you to be apart of this with us. tom ps the record is suppose to be released mid may, many of you keep emailing asking about that. as soon as we have a confirmed release date, you all will be the first to know. |

Podcast #8 per Mark
so here's what my hair looks like today. outside the studio. in the sun. with
the wind blowing. facing west. and this is exactly how my hair looked when the
woman walked past me and said, "fun hair!" i couldn't really say whether or not
she was complimenting me or what, but while i was deciding how to react, jon
replied with, "you've got some fun hair too, "which was not only lame, but
totally uncalled for since no one really knew who the other one was. that's
about the time that we all smiled politely and went about our days. anyway...
this podcast was a pleasure to do. lucky number 8. it was such a breeze...right
up until we attempted to send it in.
everything was going so well. i'd interviewed imogen heap. i'd gotten clearance
to use a screeching weasel song, a faint song and a lemon sun song. i'd even
managed to record a lot of the podcast while i was working on a song with mae. i
pulled the pictures and finished it all up while spending the weekend away with
my wife and kid. it seemed like nothing could go wrong... and then i sent in the
podcast: transfer error. and then i tried again: transfer error. third time's
the charm? nope: transfer error. the good web people tried to help, but every
time i sent the damn thing the last five minutes got cut off. that's like
watching SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE and turning the movie off before tom hanks comes
back up the elevator to fetch his kid's backpack and meg ryan. you know what i
mean? or am i the only one who's movie collection consists solely of tom hanks
and meg ryan romantic comedies? oh and remember in JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO when...
i love tom hanks. wait, where was i? ah yes...
so i tried ftp sites. i tried zipping and stuffing and folding and chewing and
nothing seemed to work. i even wished on a unicorn. we tried my laptop and jon's
home computer and his work computer and the studio computer and still...nothing.
and then finally, it struck me... why don't we just IM the damn thing? which we
did. which is how the podcast ultimately found its way to the right people on
the correct day at the last possible minute. love truly does conquer all.

Guardate un po cosa ha scritto Tom sugli AvA, questa traduzione è presa dal sito www.angelandairwaves.it, è molto commovente:
Ciao a tutti, sono onorato e avvilito che la mia nuova band abbia suscitato così
tanta attenzione. Non avevo pianificato che la mia canzone uscisse così presto,
ma è così cool vedere finalmente la vostra eccitazione... la versione che state
ascoltando non è attualmente la versione finale, ma solo una bozza
approssimativa. Sto lavorando in queste notti per un piccolo film che debutterà
tra due settimane con la canzone The Advenure e con il lancio del nostro sito.
Amo che i miei fans siano i più cool e i più intelligenti la fuori, proprio
perchè penso che abbiate capito tutti il mio messaggio... che se voi siete
aperti ad avere una vita piena di significato e se siete pronti per fare
qualcosa di positivo... allora io vi darò la colonna sonora, e insieme, forse
possiamo cambiare il mondo, se non solo noi stessi.
E non c'è nessuno che possa immaginare quanto me stesso ho messo in questo
album... quando ero al 7° grado e mio padre è stato diagnosticato di leucemia ha
ridotto me e la mia famiglia a pezzi.... Quando mio fratello è andato in guerra
in Iraq mi ha reso così arrabbiato il fatto che il mondo potrebbe essere cosi
finito... E quando la band con la quale ho iniziato a suonare lentamente ha
iniziato a squagliarsi, ho preso atto di cosa significhi perdere due dei tuoi
migliori amici...
Per favore restate con la mente aperta perchè provo a darvi più di un album, e
più di un suono punk-rock cool, perchè quello l'ho già fatto. Ma questo è
qualcosa di diverso. Ho un'idea, un esperimento onesto per ispirarvi...
credetemi, non voglio lasciarvi cadere.... e forse, solo forse tutto questo
potrebbe essere cosi buono come sperate e credere che lo sia....
